Seedrise is sales-led: rates are quoted per account against each provider's list price and billed on one monthly invoice in USD or AUD, with Australian regions for models marked AU.
Side by side
OpenRouter facts are from its public pricing page and docs, checked 2 November 2026, with sources listed below the table. Seedrise facts are from our pricing and docs pages.
| OpenRouter | Seedrise | |
|---|---|---|
| Billing model | Prepaid credits. Inference is billed at the provider's list price on every plan; a platform fee is charged when you buy credits on Standard and Business, discounted by contract on Enterprise. | A rate card per account, quoted against each provider's published list price for the same routing. Monthly invoice in arrears, itemised by model; prepaid credit if you prefer. |
| Currency | US dollars. Credits and prices are in USD. | USD or AUD, chosen per account. AUD invoices use the rate on the day. |
| Tax invoice | Prices exclude applicable taxes; VAT or GST is added to the invoice where your jurisdiction requires it. You can add a tax ID, including an Australian ABN. | Rate cards exclude GST. Australian entities receive a GST tax invoice; customers outside Australia are not charged GST. |
| Regions | EU and US in-region routing on Business and Enterprise. Its in-region routing guide lists no Australian region. | Models marked AU, including Claude Opus 5.5, Sonnet 5.5 and Haiku 5.5, can be pinned to Sydney or Melbourne on request. Switching: what changes in your code
For most clients, three values change: the base URL, the API key and the model IDs. Seedrise uses each provider's own model IDs, without a vendor prefix.
from openai import OpenAI
client = OpenAI(
# was https://openrouter.ai/api/v1
base_url="https://api.seedrise.ai/v1",
api_key="sk-...", # your Seedrise key
)
resp = client.chat.completions.create(
# was anthropic/claude-sonnet-5.5
model="claude-sonnet-5-5",
messages=[{"role": "user", "content": "Hello"}],
)
print(resp.choices[0].message.content)- Model IDs follow each provider's own naming: Claude Sonnet 5.5 is
claude-sonnet-5-5and GPT-6.1 Sol isgpt-6.1-sol. Every ID is listed in the model ID reference. - Claude Code and the Anthropic SDKs use the Anthropic Messages endpoint at
https://api.seedrise.ai. See Claude Code setup. - Remove OpenRouter-only request options, such as provider routing preferences, before switching.
- Seedrise serves OpenAI Chat Completions and Anthropic Messages. The Responses API (
/v1/responses) is not available yet.
