Integration guide

OpenCode on Seedrise

OpenCode connects to Seedrise as a custom provider in opencode.json: the @ai-sdk/openai-compatible package with base URL https://api.seedrise.ai/v1 reaches every model on your key, and Claude can also run through OpenCode's built-in Anthropic provider pointed at the same URL.

Why run OpenCode through Seedrise

Every model behind one provider

GPT, DeepSeek, Kimi, Qwen and Claude through one base URL and one key. Switch models with /models; nothing else changes.

Rates per account, one invoice

Rates are quoted per account against each provider's published list price, on one monthly invoice in USD or AUD.

Limits on every key

Budget, model, IP and expiry limits per key. Models marked AU, including Claude Opus 5.5, Sonnet 5.5 and Haiku 5.5, can be pinned to Sydney or Melbourne on request.

Setup in five minutes

  1. Install OpenCode. Follow OpenCode's install guide for macOS, Linux or Windows. Nothing Seedrise-specific here.
  2. Get your Seedrise key. Request a rate card, receive your console login, and create a key for OpenCode in the console. Limit it to the models you plan to use and set a monthly budget.
  3. Put the key in your environment. Add it to your shell profile (~/.zshrc or ~/.bashrc). The config reads it with {env:SEEDRISE_API_KEY}, so the key never sits in a file you might commit.
    bash
    export SEEDRISE_API_KEY="sk-..." # your Seedrise key
  4. Add Seedrise to opencode.json. Use ~/.config/opencode/opencode.json for yourself, or opencode.json in the project root to share it through the repo. Model IDs have no vendor prefix.

Known errors

StatusMeaningFix
401The key is missing, disabled or expired. SEEDRISE_API_KEY may be empty in the shell that started OpenCode, or an old Anthropic key saved with /connect may be used for Claude.Check echo $SEEDRISE_API_KEY and the key in the console. Remove old credentials with opencode auth logout.
403Model not on this key, or IP not in the allow-listAdjust the key's model list or allow-list
404Wrong path. Claude requests went to /messages because the anthropic base URL lacks /v1, or the provider uses @ai-sdk/openai and called /v1/responses.Set both base URLs to https://api.seedrise.ai/v1 and use @ai-sdk/openai-compatible.
400Bad request, usually a wrong model ID or malformed bodyCheck the ID against GET /v1/models. If Claude fails only through the anthropic provider, move that model under seedrise.models and send us the request time.
429Rate limit or budget reachedBack off and retry; raise the limit in the console or ask us
Missing modelThe ID is not under seedrise.models, or whitelist hides it.Add the ID to the config. For Claude metadata, run opencode models --refresh.

Still stuck? Email support@seedrise.ai with the time of the request, the model ID and the key name.

For teams

Commit opencode.json to the repo so everyone gets the same providers and models, while each developer keeps their own key in SEEDRISE_API_KEY. OpenCode merges config files, so a short file like this can limit OpenCode to the Seedrise providers:

opencode.json
{
  "$schema": "https://opencode.ai/config.json",
  "enabled_providers": ["seedrise", "anthropic"],
  "model": "anthropic/claude-sonnet-5-5",
  "small_model": "anthropic/claude-haiku-5-5"
}

OpenCode questions

Does OpenCode work with Claude through Seedrise? +
Yes, in two ways. Point OpenCode's built-in anthropic provider at https://api.seedrise.ai/v1 to use the Anthropic Messages format with OpenCode's Claude model metadata, or add the Claude IDs to the seedrise provider to run them over Chat Completions.
Which npm package do I use for the Seedrise provider? +
@ai-sdk/openai-compatible. It calls /v1/chat/completions, which Seedrise serves for every model. OpenCode uses @ai-sdk/openai for the Responses API (/v1/responses), which Seedrise does not offer yet.
Where should the API key go? +
In an environment variable, read with {env:SEEDRISE_API_KEY}. You can also store it with /connect: choose Other and enter the provider ID seedrise; OpenCode keeps it in ~/.local/share/opencode/auth.json. Do not write the key into an opencode.json you commit.
Which model IDs do I use? +
The provider's own ID, without a vendor prefix: claude-sonnet-5-5, gpt-6.1-sol, deepseek-v4-pro. In OpenCode you select them as provider/model, for example seedrise/deepseek-v4-pro. Every ID is in the model library.
Can I keep Claude inference in Australia? +
Yes. Claude Opus, Sonnet and Haiku 5.5 are marked AU and can be pinned to Sydney or Melbourne on request. Pinning is set per key, so the OpenCode config does not change.
